Maintaining close ties with schools is a lively way to lead thought on what luxury is all about today. The Comité Colbert has set out to encourage young people to learn more about the skills and techniques that constitute the strength and richness of French luxury.
The Comité Colbert contacted the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art or ENSAAMA (Paris) and its counterpart in London, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Ten Colbert companies – Bernardaud, Christian Dior, Faïenceries de Gien, Guerlain, John Lobb, Champagne Krug, Lorenz Bäumer Joaillier, Pierre Frey, Cognac Rémy Martin and Yves Delorme – helped conduct this cross-cultural seminar on “ A Day To Celebrate” for the designers of the future. Students were asked to tackle a topic assigned by the luxury house of their choice.
